83. The Making And Inspiration Behind One Of The Most Iconic Horror Movies Of All Time

Today's October special episode takes a deep dive into what it took to make the infamous 1974 film, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and the real-life sicko that inspired the writers. This film set the bar for every slasher film to come after.
The silver screen had never seen the likes of this type of gore and violence on this level before. Infact it was initially banned in many countries.

82. The German Cannibal

A man with a highly illegal and unusual fetish searches online and posts an ad for a consensual partner to partake in cannibalism with.
The ad reads " looking for a young man between 18 and 25 years old for a real slaughter and consumption." Surprisingly, someone responds that they are interested.
The man who posted the ad goes by the screenname Franky. This ad was placed on a website called The Cannibal Cafe.
The two men meet up a month later in a 700-year-old, 40 room manor in a small town in Germany.  
The manor has a designated kill room in it and what unfolds in that room is all captured on video. 
Two men enter that room and only one comes out alive.
This is the case of the German cannibal Armin Meiwes.

81. Satanic Cult Abduction?

In 2008, a young and in love Australian couple set out for a waterfall picnic. When they don't return home that evening their parents grow incredibly worried. That same evening a letter claiming to be from a satanic cult is located in a bottle at one of the missing persons homes. This letter reads that the couple has been abducted, and mentions human sacrifice. 6 days later the young couple is found alive by a farmer.

80. Deadly Shrooms

An unidentified man's body is found in a ditch on the afternoon of April 24th by a woman walking her dog. When investigators arrive on scene it is clear the man had been moved here and this was not the location where he had died. They noticed what seemed to be residue from duct tape around his wrists and ankles which indicates he had been bound. Aside from abrasions to his right foot and a small cut on his hand, there is no outward injuries to suggest the manner of death. Luckily investigators get the answer they are looking for when an autopsy is performed. 
 
* Correction* At the end of this episode I said The Guy From Into The Wild died from a poisonous mushroom but it was believed that it was not a poisonous mushroom that he ate but toxic potato seeds.

79. Murderer Disappears After Triple Homicide

In 2017, Nadja, her 14-year-old daughter Payton and Nadjas boyfriend of 2 years, Mike; had moved onto a beautiful plot of land in rural Idaho. This wasn't the beginning to happily ever after though. In June of that year 3 bodies were discovered in a shed on the property. It was the height of summer and it's believed they were there for 10 days. Decomposition had long set in making it hard to identify who police had found.
When the identities of the bodies are revealed so is a secret nobody could have imagined.

A 28-year-old man from Virginia shows up in an emergency room in Oklahoma hemorrhaging from his groin. Upon inspection it appears the man's testicles had been removed and he was bleeding out. Eventually the man tells doctors he can't say what happened or else his life is at risk along with everyone he loves. When the truth finally comes out a call is made to police.

In this episode I will be talking about 2 different cases involving the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. 
The first case we look will be looking at the disappearance of a couple who went out on a dive trip and never returned. What is thought to of happened to them is incredibly horrifying and tragic.
The second case we look at involves a couple on their honeymoon who take a scuba diving adventure. When only one of them surfaces alive a sinister and terrifying theory develops.

76. Part 2, The Twisted Timeline....What Really Happened In The Closet?

In 2016, a police officer receives an alarming text message from his own wife while he is on his way to a waffle house. He rushes home but it appears he is too late as he smells gun smoke and notices a locked closet. He radios police that he has even heard gun shots before he entered the apartment. When police arrive and force open the locked closet door, what they find is a bloodied unconscious woman on the floor; hair saturated in blood and her head placed perfectly on a pillow. The police officers service weapon is discovered under her body.
When the woman is airlifted to hospital and her head is shaved, doctors cannot find a bullet hole injury. It's seemingly more likely that her injury was caused due to blunt force trauma. There is no bullet entry wound to be found.
Will we ever truly know what happened in the closet?
